Ich studiere Informatik im Master an der LMU München und baue Web-Anwendungen rund um Daten und KI: zuletzt eine KI-gestützte Übungsplattform für Haskell und ein Badge-System für die Learning-Analytics-App PaOLA. Als Nächstes suche ich eine Werkstudentenstelle in Softwareentwicklung oder Data Science, am liebsten in einem Team, mit dem die Arbeit Spaß macht. I'm a master's student in computer science at LMU Munich and I build web apps around data and AI: most recently an AI-powered Haskell exercise platform and a badge system for the learning analytics app PaOLA. Next, I'm looking for a working-student role in software development or data science, ideally in a team that makes the work fun.

Haskell Micro-Trainer

Sprachmodelle erzeugen gern Aufgaben mit Sprachfeatures, die im ersten Semester noch gar nicht dran waren. Der Micro-Trainer bindet das Modell deshalb an den Kurs: Pools aus Beispiel-Funktionsnamen steuern Thema, Umfang und Schwierigkeit jeder Aufgabe, und Abgaben werden automatisch getestet und bekommen Feedback.Language models like to generate exercises with language features first-year students haven't seen yet. The Micro-Trainer ties the model to the course instead: pools of example function names steer the topic, scope and difficulty of each exercise, and submissions are tested automatically and get feedback.

Evaluiert aus drei Richtungen: manuelle Bewertung der generierten Aufgaben, Umfrage und Nutzungsdaten. Das wichtigste Ergebnis: Studierenden ist der Zugang zu Übungen wichtiger als perfekte Aufgaben.Evaluated three ways: manual review of the generated exercises, a survey, and usage tracking. The main finding: students value access to practice more than perfect exercises.

Dazu eine Bewertung von 33 Badge-Ideen nach bauen, überarbeiten oder streichen.A short English paper on the research (including Sailer & Homner 2020): the state of gamification research, usable data, learning support, and motivating survey participation. Plus an assessment of 33 badge ideas: build, rework or drop.

Umsetzung im bestehenden Next.js-Projekt: Badges, die bei Meilensteinen automatisch vergeben werden, eine Übersichtsseite und eine Anzeige für das nächste erreichbare Badge, berechnet direkt aus den Lernaufzeichnungen in MariaDB.Built into the existing Next.js app: badges awarded automatically at milestones, an overview page, and an "up next" hint for the closest badge, computed straight from the learning logs in MariaDB.
